About the Clinic
CCSF is excited to host the third women's clinic which will be led by Grace Jividen-Truesdale! Grace is a 7th-degree black belt who competed in the first women’s judo Olympics games in 1992. She represented Team USA from 1981–2004, and has won 48 international medals, 6 U.S. Senior National golds, and won gold at the World Sambo Championships.
The clinic will include two sessions. The first session from 9:30 to 11:00 will focus on newaza techniques for competition, including strategy, turnovers, key groundwork techniques, and defense against chokes and armbars.
The second session from 12:30 to 2:00 will focus on tachiwaza for competition, including gripping control, when and how to use proper grips, combination throws, and drills for standing attacks.
Eligibility
- Women and girls over 13 years of age.
- Active USJF/USJA/USA Judo membership is required.
