The CompNet San Diego - CA Spring Championship 2026 is here!
Every competition is a call to courage and an opportunity to elevate your Jiu-Jitsuātesting your skills, mindset, and spirit on the mats.
Key Features of this event:
1. Points System: First event ever held in San Diego - second event of the 2026 season: Start collecting points for both the Regional and the Global Rankings.
2. Categories and Divisions: The tournament features nine weight divisions for kids and adults plus the open division(absolute) for adults blue, purple, brown and black belts. Age divisions go from tiny champions at 3 years old to Master 7 for adults who are 61 years old or more. This allows for a wide range of participants and matches, creating an inclusive atmosphere.
3. Competition Format: The event will include Gi divisions. Matches are structured in a way that leads to exciting finals.
4. Community and Networking: Beyond the competition, events like this often foster a sense of community among practitioners. Athletes, coaches, and fans can network, share experiences, and celebrate the sport together.
5. Spectator Experience: For spectators, the atmosphere is electric, with high-level grappling, strategic maneuvers, and the chance to see top-ranked athletes in action. Many events also feature vendors and other activities that enhance the experience.

The gates open at 7:30 am, and the tournament begins at 9:00 am. A detailed event schedule will be released a few days prior to the tournament.

PRICES
- Promotional Price $99.00 (USD) until Sunday, March 15th, 2026.
- Early Bird Registrations $109.00 (USD) until Sunday, March 29th, 2026.
- Regular Registration $119.00 (USD) until Sunday, May 3rd, 2026.
- Late Registration $129.00 (USD) until Sunday, June 7th, 2026.
- Spectator Fee: $15.00 (USD). Registrations for athletes under 12 years old include one complimentary spectator ticket.

Here are some important dates to help you prepare for competition:
- Registration closes SUNDAY, June 7th 2026.
- The deadline for division corrections is MONDAY, June 8th at 5PM.
- The tournament bracket and official schedule will be published on THURSDAY, June 11th, 2026.

For Competitors from 3 to 8 years of age:
To give every competitor the best experience possible, match formats are based on the number of competitors in each division:
ā¢ā ā Bracket of 2 competitors: Head to head - Best of 3
They will compete head-to-head in a best-of-three matches series.⢠The athlete who wins two matches wins the division.
ā¢ā ā Bracket of 3 competitors: True Round Robin
The division will run as a true round robin.⢠Each athlete competes against both others.⢠Final placement is determined by overall results.
ā¢ā ā Bracket of 4 competitors: Single Elimination- Bronze match
The division follows a single-elimination bracket.⢠The two athletes who lose in the semifinals will compete for bronze medal.
ā¢ā ā Bracket of 5 or more competitors: Consolation Bracket- Bronze Match
The division will begin as a single-elimination bracket. If an athlete loses their first match, they will move into a secondary bracket for the opportunity to have the second match (consolation bracket don't offer medals). A final match will be held to determine the bronze medal winner. Only athletes who loses in the first round will be moved to the consolation bracket.
*Important: Matches won by no-shows or disqualifications will count as one of the two guaranteed matches.
