Description
Guerreros Judo Club is proud to host San Jose State University Judo coaches Kosuke Tanaka (Tsukuba University) and Toni Lettner (German Judo Federation).
Athletes aged 13–20 will learn advanced counters and pick-ups from new grips—techniques essential for success at Cadet and IJF Junior levels.
During the break, former Nanka athlete and SJSU Judo captain Ali Moghadas will share how judo shaped his high school years and how the SJSU Judo program influenced his life and career.
Lunch will be served to parents and athletes during the break.
These training sessions are open to registered USA Judo athletes between the ages of 13-20. Athletes who are 12 years old and participated at previous Best of Both Worlds Judo Events are also eligible. Athletes who are 12 years old with higher rank and competition experience may have their Sensei request an exception from Sensei Frank Sanchez. Any athlete below the age of 13 will be denied access to the event if permission has not been granted prior to registration.
The space for athletes below 13 years of age will be very limited. Once filled, no exceptions will be granted.
Eligibility: Athletes MUST be registered with USA Judo at the time of the event. No other
memberships can be accepted. Your membership options can be found here (event
membership not eligible).
