🌟 Why VERSUS?
✔️ Always multiple matches (round robin) ✔️ Smooth organization & clear communication ✔️ Healthy food corner with wraps & açaí ✔️ Fair brackets & positive vibes
🥋 Novice Adults
The Novice division is designed as a safe and positive first step into competition. We tested this format before and it worked really well.
- Small groups (4 athletes)
- Every athlete gets 3 matches
- No knockout stage
- Medals for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place in each group
If you don’t like this format, no problem – just register in Beginner. After all, it’s all white belts.

- You have NO competition experience in other combat sports (e.g. kickboxing at a serious level)
- You are clearly new to the sport (no “cauliflower ears”, etc.)

Beginner
Register as Beginner if:

Additional info on: Spectators & Capacity
We organize our events inside a gym: big, spacious, and built for action. Still, like any venue, we have a maximum capacity — and we’re getting close to it.
At VERSUS, fighters always come first. They are the heart of the event, and we want to give them the space, focus, and experience they deserve on the mats.
That said, spectators are absolutely welcome. We love the energy, the support, and the community around the mats. But to keep the balance right, we’ve made a conscious choice: spectator entry is priced higher than usual.
Not to make money — but to manage capacity.
By setting a higher entrance fee, we aim to naturally limit the number of spectators, ensuring more space and a better experience for the athletes competing.
If you still want to come and support, you’re more than welcome. Just know that this is the reasoning behind it.
We believe in transparency, fairness, and putting the athletes first. We hope you understand — and if not, that’s okay too. This is simply the choice we’ve made to protect the quality of the event.
